Homemade Bath Melts Recipe
Here is a simple bath melt recipe for you to try at home.
It creates a relaxing moisturising bath, something out winter tired skin is crying out for.
Bath Melts Recipe
40g Cocoa Butter
20g Coconut Oil
20g Epsom Salts
3g Lavender Essential Oil
Dried Lavender Seeds
Feel free to change the essential oil and botanicals e.g. Rose essential oil & dried rose petals. However never exceed the proportion of essential oil as higher quantities can irritate skin.
Melt the Cocoa Butter and Coconut oil in a double boiler or glass jug in the microwave. Remove from the heat and stir in the Epsom Salts, essential oils and botanicals.
Pour into small moulds.
Store in a mason type jar and drop one into a hot bath, where it will melt and make a moisturising relaxing bath.
This recipe can also be used for a solid moisturising bar. simple warm in the hands until the butter become warm and soft and rub into the skin.
